Rev. Brian Cook
Brian Cook is the new Director of
Campus Ministries joining the ministry in
November 2007. Although, originally from
Missouri, Brian came to Indiana to attend
college at Oakland City University from where
he graduated in 1990. In December 2006,
Brian completed his Master of Divinity degree from Oakland City University.
Brian brings with him a diversity of ministry experiences. He has been
involved in children and youth ministry since 1988. He has been in fulltime
ministry since 1998. During this ministry experience Brian has served in
roles as Student Ministries Director, Assistant Pastor, and Lead Pastor of
churches throughout Indiana, Michigan, and Missouri.
Besides serving as Director of Campus Ministries, Brian is involved in Sports
Ministry with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He serves 20 counties in
the Wabash Valley area as the Area Representative for FCA. This role
allows Brian the opportunity to enjoy his two life’s passions: ministry and
sports. As the Area Representative for FCA, Brian works with the coaches
and athletes at Middle Schools, High Schools, Colleges and Universities
throughout Southern Indiana and Southern Illinois.
Brian has been married to his wife Michelle since 1988 and they have a son
named Caleb. In his free time he enjoys coaching baseball, following his
favorite hockey team, hunting, fishing, reading, and spending time with his
family. Brian stated, “I am thrilled to be a part of Vincennes University and the
Campus Ministry here in Southern Indiana. I look forward to experiencing life
with the faculty, staff, and students of VU!”
